Accessibility

A statement of measured results for this website. Not a certification, and not the outcome of a third-party audit.

Target

This site is built to WCAG 2.1 AA, which the company's design canon sets as the minimum standard for every surface.

What has been measured

CriterionResult
1.4.3 Contrast (minimum)Sixty-two painted text runs measured against their actual backgrounds. All body, interface and heading text meets AA. The two below the threshold are both the “.AI” logotype, at 2.44 : 1 on paper and 2.76 : 1 on white. WCAG 1.4.3 itself excepts text that is part of a logotype or brand name; the exception is the standard’s, not the company’s.
1.4.4 Resize textVerified at 683 CSS px, the layout a 1366 px window produces at 200 % page zoom: no loss of content or functionality, and no two-dimensional scrolling.
1.4.10 ReflowVerified at 320 CSS px, equivalent to a 1280 px window at 400 % zoom: no two-dimensional scrolling, and the header, footer and menu control all remain reachable.
1.3.1 / 2.4.1 Structure and landmarksOne h1 per page; header, main, footer and labeled navigation landmarks; headings in order; a skip link that is first in tab order, visible on focus, and moves to the main landmark.
2.1.1 / 2.1.2 KeyboardThe menu opens and closes by keyboard, reports its state with aria-expanded, closes on Escape and returns focus to its control. Every link and control is reachable and nothing traps focus. Verified by tabbing: no focus stop lands on anything that is not painted.
2.4.7 Focus visibleA 2 px focus outline in the element’s own color, never removed.
2.5.3 Label in nameEvery link’s accessible name is its visible text. Decorative arrows are hidden from assistive technology so they do not enter the name.
2.2.2 / 2.3.3 Motionprefers-reduced-motion is honored globally. No autoplay, no video, no animation, no parallax and no scroll-triggered movement.
1.1.1 Non-text contentThe brand mark carries a text alternative where it stands alone and is marked decorative beside the wordmark that already names the company. Both illustrations carry a text alternative describing what is drawn. Width and height are set, so nothing shifts as they load.

Both sizing criteria, the contact links' accessible names and the navigation's behavior at eight widths are covered by permanent automated checks, so a regression fails the build rather than going unnoticed.

What has not been tested

  • No screen-reader testing with a real assistive technology.
  • Chromium only. Safari, Firefox and Edge are untested.
  • Text-only resize, as distinct from page zoom, is untested; the type scale is expressed in pixels, so a browser's text-only setting may not affect it.
  • No third-party or expert audit.
  • No testing with people who use assistive technology.

No conformance claim is made on this evidence. A conformance statement should follow an audit, not these checks.
